Deuteronomy 6:4-6 sums up well, the concept of Obedience By Love! Obedience through fear will work, only for a short time, but, perpetual obedience through love works always, forever! The very first Commandment in the Ten Commandments has to do with Loving God! In Matthew 22:35-40 KJV, when the lawyer asked Jesus, trying to tempt Him asked, Master which of the Ten Commandments is the greatest, Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 6:4-6 KJV.
He told him, the (lawyer), that the Ten Commandments are a Blessing, Not a Burden! An act of Love is never a burden.
The Ten Commandments is a speech from God to man! There is a reason God start with Loving Him in the very first Commandments of the Ten Commandments, to say that if one cannot obey the first, he/she would have difficulties obeying the rest, the other nine Commandments.
The Ten Commandments are God's Absolute Standards, for a peaceful living in life!
