Rise of the Digital Guru --The Parker J Cole Show

Millions of us have smart phones are loaded with applications to do a host of things to make our lives easier. Some would say that we have a million apps to waste time. From fitness apps to tracking fertility, to corporate and church apps for various needs, it's safe to say we're plugged in.

Along with those apps are apps for guided visualizations, finding centeredness, manifestations, and other New Age philosophical programs we can access with the swipe of a finger. As the new wave of New Age philosophy touches the masses yet again, I'm pleased to bring me with one of the warriors of Christ who uses her ministry to thwart the lies of the gurus of the past and now the digital gurus of our present.

In a post-truth society, truth doesn't have a big of a factor as much as wanting to feel good regardless of the decisions I make. Indeed, if we are the gods of our fate, then it's a matter of balancing the act of making sure I feel good about whatever I decide to do. I suspect that this is one of the contributing causes to the new wave of New Age thought along with a general sense of confusion as people try to find an anchor to hold onto in a frothing sea of calamity.
