I had a young girl on my show in recent weeks who invigorated my spirit. She was twelve years old and had already starred in a music video, spoken in front of the masses, wrote a book, and was just getting started. As she talked to me on her show, her family and friends called in, supporting her, encouraging her, and uplifting her. Interviewing her as I did, I felt the power of her child-like faith like physical touch.
I thought I knew what it meant to have child-like faith until I met her. Or, maybe I had forgotten. Through her faith, my own increased. It calls to mind the verse in Luke 18:10 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
I had another young man on my show a few years ago. He said, "You're never too young to begin your dream." At the time, he was about fifteen or sixteen years old. His dream was to be a TV broadcaster. He'd written a book, appeared on TV, and was just getting started. He's about twenty or twenty-one years old now. He has a TV show, he's reported on local news, interviewed political candidates and more. I noticed with him that his parents also guided his path, supporting him. Over the years, I've rooted for his success and am so pleased to see where the Lord will lead him.
Both young people had child-like faith. So what do we mean by it?
