You may have started off this year with a heartfelt desire to read the word of God all the way through. Day 1, you set aside the time, picked up your word, and started reading Psalm 117 and considered yourself accomplished.
Day 3, you'd already put it aside and gone about your life.
There are many reasons why people, both believers and unbelievers, don't read the word of God. For believers especially, it shouldn't be the case, and yet, it is. What are some of the reasons why people don't read it? What about the parts we don't understand? We want to be obedient, but our attention span is short.
