K.R. Morrison
While she’s currently on a writing sabbatical in a hideaway she calls “Mermaid Town,” K.R. Morrison is a San Francisco rooted poet, drummer, and high school teacher who has been teaching English and Creative Writing for 18 years. Her first chapbook Cauldrons was recently published by Paper Press Books, within which “Her Altar” received a Pushcart nomination. Apart from reading at curations in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and New York, Morrison has featured throughout several Bay Area readings. Gabrielle Suver came from a mediocre collegiate running background but turned to triathlon in 2014 post college due to excessive injuries caused from battling an eating disorder in high school and early college. As her body recovered from the damage of the eating disorder, she slowly became stronger and faster. She turned professional in duathlon by 2020, has finished 3 Ironman triathlons (including a top 10 AG finish at the Ironman World Championships in St George), and just turned professional in triathlon this summer. She has a B.S. degree in Physical Education, works full time teaching PE & Health (currently online), and is USA Triathlon certified coach.
