Losing a parent is never easy. Many believe that they are suppose to be ready as in some cases one's parent may have been ill or up in age. There are also cases when the death may have been tragic or unexpected. And what about those that lost their parents at a very young age?

It is believed that when a parent dies one is suppose to be prepared for this natural life passage, or at least be more ready to accept it when it happens. One is expected to pick ourselves up, close the wound quickly, and move on. But for many that is not the case. The grieving process seems to never end. And the memories still hurt

On Feburary 17th I celebrated the 10 Year Anniversary of the death of my mother Jean Brooks-Sistrunk. She passed away of Breast Cancer at the young age of 59. She was the mother of three daughters and very well known in the City Of Compton.

Join me and others as I provide tips and tools to help individuals cope with the death of a parent. You can also call in to share the legacy of your parents that have passed on. The show will be live on 2/19/18 at 12pm Pacific.
