Parenting Teens And Young Adults

Being a parent is not an easy task. As one give birth a book with instructions were not attached with the child. So as the child age many challenges can occur. One must take into account their parenting style, cultural and religious belief, past trauma or upbringing, current living, relational situation with the other parent, and the emotion and development of the child. Let's not forget about those that are raising a child that they did not give birth to yet are raising or providing care for. Taking that into consideration the transition into a teenager and young adulthood can create a nightmare for both the parent and teen or young adult. 

With the way our society is going, the different types of things that our teens and young adults are exposed to adapting to the personality changes of another can strengthen or break the parenting bond that one may have had previously. This can also create issues with respect, communication, entitlement issues, not to mention teaching your teen or young adult to be a responsible productive member of society. Let's talk about it. Many parents are missing the warning signs. One should not parent out of guilt. When one know better they can do better.
