S06/E15: The Role of Activism In Making Political Change

With a whopping 44% of the public either Independent or labelling themselves as NPA (No Political Affiliation), there is definitely a growing "enthusiasm gap" when it comes on to American political discourse. Why is that? Why the indifference? Is it that people genuinely don't care or disillusioned by anything and everything political? 

Change is inevitable as every culture thrives on it with a renewed sense of optimism. Will the 2 party strangle hold by both major political parties ever be relinquished any time soon? The current system doesn't cater to 3rd Parties, but with the growing disdain, can any 3rd party break the norm?
