You may know Brandon Kyle Goodman as a powerful social justice advocate from their podcasts and instrgram productions. Or you may know them from their acting and writing work on some of Netflix's most successful series including "Big Mouth" or the film "Feel the Beat".
Today we talk to Brandon about their one-person stage production "The Latrell Show" with the IAMA Theater Company. The show is billed as a "dark comedy" that explores the mental aerobics of being Black and Queer in America by way of its title character, Latrell Jackson. For black and queer audience members, the show will make them feel seen, validated and heard. For white and non-black audience members, it is an exceptional tour into the mind of a black queer person and brings all the feelings to the forefront for them to encounter-- maybe for the first time.
