Volume 1: 'Superman and Green Lantern, ain’t got nothin’ on me'

These lyrics from the circa 1960s pop tune, “Sunshine Superman,” serve as the basis for the theme of this week’s show.  Could the enormous attention being given to superheroes and the concept of superpowers, both in popular culture, and in science and technology areas, suggest the foreshadowing of the next evolutionary jump? The show explores the work of Lois Gresh and Robert Weinberg, authors of “The Science of Superheroes,” and other works in order to find some answers.
