"The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down"
South Carolina's State Senate Voted 36-3 To Take Down The Confederate Flag From The State House today.
Now The Bill Goes To The Lower House Who Will Immediately Bring The Matter Up For Debate Tomorrow.
The South Carolina House of Representatives voted 93 to 18 to send the Flag Bill directly to the floor and bypass committee.
Sen. Kimpson told CNN "I'm told that was the vote to bypass committee so now it goes to the floor for 2nd reading which is
where the debate will take place." The House has adjourned for the day and will reconvene at 10 a.m. tomorrow,
Wednesday.
I Don't Know What Remains To Debate But It Should Be An Already Foregone Conclusion That This "Puppy" Gots To Go &
Go Now!
As A Consolation, Perhaps They Can Do A Rendition Of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" - That Great Rock & Roll Hit
Recorded By The Band In 1969 And Released On Their Self-Titled Second Album - "The Band".
"Now, I don't mind chopping wood
And I don't care if the money's no good
You take what you need
And you leave the rest
But they should never
Have taken the very best
The night they drove old Dixie down
And the bells were ringing"
Naaayyy, Nayyyyaaaayyaaaa Yaaaah, Naaayyya Nayyyyya Nayyyaaah Nayyyy Yahhhh
But, then again, This Is The South We're Talking About, Ok?
Something Tells Me That Some Enterprising Soul/Souls May Very Well Take This Auspicious Ocassion To Whip Out A
Snappy Rendition Of "Dixie". Just Saying.
