McCain planned to have george bush + barack obama as speakers
He had specifically not invited the president
He had specifically not invited his 2008 running mate, Sarah Palin
It was all a full-frontal public rebuke to the president + trumpism!

The icing on the cake occurred yesterday
At his memorial in the Washington Cathedral
His daughter Meghan intoned -
The “America of John McCain has no need to be made great again
because it was always great.”

Yes, from his grave, as his body lay "cold"
John McCain gave Trump the "shiv" he so richly deserved
