Join the Sista Awareness Blog Talk Radio show at 7:30 pm Eastern. Yves Engler, a Montreal-based activist, and a writer, will be a special guest. Mr. Engler's work has appeared in both the alternative press and mainstream publications such as The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, and Ecologist. Yves expressed concerns and was critical about Canada's role in the 2004 Haitian Coup d' etat. Mr. Engler co-authored a report entitled Canada in Haiti: Waging War Against the Poor Majority and established a group called the Canada-Haiti Action Network. Candida Cecile Johnson, founder of the African Development Plan, and Siphiwe Ka Balenka, professional swimmer and founder of the Balanta Burassa History and Genealogy Society, will also join sister Candida and me as special co-host.
