FABIAN LANCE
An innovative keyboardist, teacher, producer, composer and arranger
from Axton Va., Fabian Lance Dickerson has performed extensively
around the world, in the orchestra pit, in festivals and on the stage.
Alongside this, he owns and operates his recording studio and is a
proficient engineer and producer.
Lance was born in Washington D.C. on February 2, 1964 and now lives
in Chesterfield Va. He has been playing piano since the age of 11.
From 1982 to 1987, Fabian Lance studied at Virginia Union University School of Music, where he majored in Jazz Compositon and Music Business. In 1985, Lance became the keyboardist for the local James Cleveland “Gospel Music Workshop of America” chapter in Richmond Va. His duties included assisting local and national clinicians in presenting their original music.
In 1996, Fabian Lance became the session keyboardist for the syndicated televisions show, “Living Single” and in 2002, the animated cartoon show “Li)le Bill”. Lance toured with the European musical production, Sister Act I and II from 1997 thru 1998. Lance, alongside “Kool and the Gangs” former producer, Jim Bonnifond, produced Joye B. Moore’s na7onal Contemporary Gospel CD called, “Project Bu)erfly” in 1999. In 2003, Lance co-produced the “Strings in the Night” CD for which he was also co-executive producer with the incomparable guitarist, Anthony B. Ingram. This project received national notoriety.
