Repair~
Have I ever told you that I HATE doing car repairs? And knowing Rick (Sterling) as I do I know that he is not enamoured with doing car repairs either. The reason that I began doing auto mechanics in my youth was that my dad was not about to buy any of his kids (two sisters and a brother) new cars when good used cars were fairly cheap in the 1960's. My dad grew up as a farm boy where nothing was thrown away-it was repaired. He wanted me and my brother to have the ability to buy cars cheap and repair them.
Yesterday I spent 3 1/2 hours putting a new neutral safety and transmission shift switch in my 1999 Saturn SL-1. This after having earlier put in a rebuilt valve body in the transmission because of various OBDII codes that came from my tester. This old car has given wonderful service to our family since my father-in law bought it new, but any more it is just one thing after another, and I am sick of it. This is the final repair I will do on this car. I'm going to fix it, and as soon as I can I'm going to sell it (or give it away) and get something else. There comes a time when it is counter productive to through good money after bad.
The same is true for the old idea that we are "Saved by grace throught faith"! This 'new plan' is now an old, outmoded idea that has not worked from it's beginning in the first century C.E., when Paul invented it. It is time stop trying to repair something that is broken beyond repair. It is time to get rid of it and go back to the original Plan of Salvation that God gave to Adam and Eve in the Garden, told to Ancient Israel in the Old Testament, and is the reason Jesus came to earth to renew for the Kingdom of Heaven.
The church has been trying to fix something that never needed repair, because they believed the big lie as if it was true.
