Best Meal Ever~

Last night my wife and I went to a high end steak house for dinner. My daughter gave us a gift card as an anniversary present, but my wife wanted to combine the dinner as part of my birthday celebration, so we went to the restaurant yesterday, my birthday. It was literally the best meal I have eaten 'out' in the past 50 years or so. The last time I had a meal this good was in the late '60's at a Michelin 2 star restaurant in Los Angeles that is no longer in operation. The salads, the bread (oh my), the sides, the wine for my wife (and in my case a wonderful 16 year old single malt scotch), the desserts, the coffee, and of course the steaks were all perfect. Upon delivering my steak (an aged 14 oz. New York Strip) my waitress asked if I wanted some steak sauce, and I said, "Why would I ruin a work of art by adding anything to it beyond what the chef prepared."  As with any high end restaurant everything was A-La-Carte, so Becky and I splurged (which is what my daughter wanted us to do) and added 4 sides to our meal-asparagus, mashed potatoes, sauted mushrooms, and Au Gratin potatoes (the house specialty). The embiance in the room was lively, and a little noisy, but not so much that my wife and I could not carry on a stimualting conversation. It was a magnificent evening.

And yet as good as this meal was it is just a foretaste of the meal that those who become righteous in fact through the process of Santcification will experience when we all get together around the heavenly table in the earth made new. And before that becomes a reality we will experience glorious times together as family and friends do, after the wars and strife we are now experiencing are set aside in favor of the fulfillment of the prophecies of Peace and Prosperity of Revelation 10 and Daniel 2. We are so close to this happening I can almost taste it. The Wedding Supper of the Lamb is near at hand.
