Interesting Times~

There is an ancient Chinese  curse that says, "May you live in interesting times". This presupposes that 'interesting times' is indeed a curse, and that those times will be uncomfortable at there very least.

The other definition of 'interesting times' can also be exciting, challenging, and rife with opportunity to grow. These two definitions are based solely on your personal perspective, and not on the actual events that are taking place, or anything that is happening to you personally. Hard Times are always bi-directional; you can use them, or be used by them - opposite polarity.

There are things that are happening in our world that are challenging, and will become more so as time goes on. The most prominent thing that will make these events challenging is how well prepared you are to deal with them.

From a physial side; do you have extra water and food at home, do you keep a stash of cash and/or a little ready gold or silver for purchasing essentials, do you drive your car off the top of your gas tank, etc.

But being physically prepared is just the beginning. What about your mental, emotional, and yes-spiritual preparedness. Are your ready in these areas to deal with life from either side of the good/bad divide?

The single most importand element of making life a blessing or a curse is your relationship with the Truth, which is the single most important 'commodity' that exists in time and space. If you view the world through eyes that are filtered with desires and wishes, then you will not be prepared for a reality that simply IS. If you view life through the TRUTH in all it's forms then you will be prepared to accomplish the things that can change a curse to a blessing, and allow you to "Know the Truth, and the truth will set you free". (John 8:32).
