Welcome to Survivor's Speak Radio, our show tonight is about a survivor who has had to deal with addiction, hardship, trauma and premature motherhood. Our guest tonight is Shonte Johnson, a phenomenal person who has decided to share her story. Shonte is currently working on building her career as a massage therapist,  Shonte believe that her experience is just a sample of the reality that a lot of folks face.

Shonte Johnson was born and raised in South Central LA, due to gang violence she lost her uncle to a fatal shooting. Shonte's story is unqiue in the way that her childhood experience of losing a love one took her into a downward spiral that ultimately lead to her being distant and devoid of verbal expression. Eventually Shonte found herself associating with people who seem to be friends but in reality was cancerous and toxic to her person.

After having a bout with addiction and being admitted into a mental hospital Shonte realized that there was a need for change, so  she decide to use her voice and tell her story in hope that her life experience could help someone deal with their trauma and struggle(s) of life in a more meaningful and mentally healthy manner.

Shonte life experience make her an expert at navigating trauma, and we are honoer to have her join in tonight on our conversation about how to keep on keeping on.

Survivor's Speak blog talk radio is about survivor's having a platform to be heard and thereby healed through expressing their story.

Tonights show will be hosted by The Reverence Project very own Phillip "Rock" Lester.
