The Salem missionaries of Melchizedek carried his gospel of belief and faith in God to many regions of the world. And though their work presents a heroic chapter in the annals of the human race, only in Palestine did the idea of one God gain lasting favor. Machiventa ended his emergency mission suddenly, just as he began it, leaving his students, and Abraham and his descendants, to nurture the new Salem religion.
