If anyone ever read the book, Diplomacy, by Henry Kissinger they would know that he commanded mass knowledge of Southeast Asia, Middle East and Euro-Russian relations and how they related to other countries during both world wars, the doctrine of containment, proxy wars in Vietnam and Middle East relations.  His concepts of real politik, detente and triangular diplomacy were developed over 50 years of his service.  He was a back door diplomacy expert after he resigned.  He was a German Jew that emigrated to the United States after being under threat in Germany. Despite his broad knowledge, he was insecure and arrogant. While ushering in new eras in the United States, he also supported a coup d'etat in Chile when Pinochet replaced Salvadore Allende. He destroyed a socialist movement that was more fair to the people. We will discuss that & more. We had 2 guest callers from the U.S.
