Tonight we'll be joined by the talented singer/song writer Trice Da Artist for an exclusive interview.

With a drive like no other, this Gary, IN native is known for belting out notes and her creative writing. Trice realized her gift of singing at the age of 9 singing in church and school choirs. She started writing poetry in middle school and by high school, those poems turned into song. Being the only child in her family that sings, Trice knew that this unique gift was made just for her.

"I have a story to tell" most famously quoted by Trice. She is definitely set out to tell it. Trice was a part of a duo called "Perfection". While in that duo, she got the chance to travel across the country performing for different artist. Under that duo, the two released an album "The Journey", an 11 track project, that definitely left them an household name. They were on the way to getting signed to an independent label.

But life had a different route for Trice, and she had to learn about life the hard way. Instead of giving up, she fought through, and turned those life lessons into songs. Trice writes from her personal experiences. "Sometimes, when I leave the studio, I'm in my emotions. Because, the songs I'm recording are opening up old wounds, cuz' I write about what I've been through...or going through".

With musical influences like Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Kim Burell, Fantasia, and Jhene Aiko, Trice is searching to find a sound of her own. She's a incredible writer and writes from personal experiences. "I believe that my versatility separates me from other artists. I have an ability to write aggressive, emotional, heart-felt, introspective, motivational, and storytelling type music."

With hard drive, dedication, and hard work, Trice is set to embark on something great! Follow her as she makes this journey.
