On Tuesday, November 8th, America watched in anticipation as Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton to become the 2016 President Elect and the 45th President of the United States. There's a lot of controversy surrounding the election with of course the Popular Votes vs the Electoral Votes being at the top of the list. For just the 5th time in United States history, A Presidential Candidate won the Popular Vote but still lost the election due to falling short on the Electoral Votes. Democrats and Hillary Clinton supporters were devastated to say the least to find out that Donald Trump would win the election even after Hillary received more votes while Republicans and Donald Trump supporters were ecstatic to see that their candidate loss the Popular Vote but still won the election.
