Tonight on IRTR we'll be discussing "The Honeymoon Stage" which is a term that's basically defined as the point in a relationship, friendship, or partnership (personal or business) where everything seems to be clicking on all cylinders and it's nothing but smooth sailing and good times. You can almost do no wrong while enrolled in the Honeymoon Stage but what happens once the Honeymoon Stage wears off and reality completely sinks in? Some people are able to still maintain camaraderie and a good report with one another while others start to get irritated by things they hardly even noticed during the Honeymoon Stage. This is usually when the "Domino Effect" comes into play.
Sports are a great example of the Honeymoon Stage. When Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were teammates, they seemed like the best of friends, but now that Kevin Durant has left Westbrook and his Thunder brethren to join Steph Curry and the flashy Golden State Warriors, their relationship has seemed to diminish right in the face of the public. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie would be another example of The Honeymoon Stage converting over to the Domino Effect.
So what are your thoughts on The Honeymoon Stage and how do you handle it when it wears off? Facebook or email us with your thoughts and we'll address them on air. This is a caller friendly discussion
