Tonight, we have the pleasure of being joined by special guest, Kendra Grissom. At just 22 years old, Kendra is highly accomplished and has a very bright future ahead. Maintaining a GPA of 4.0 as student of the HBCU "Spelman College", and Valedictorian of her graduating class, Kendra is climbing up the ladder of "Black Excellence" and so many other young black men and women are as well but it doesn't get talked about or celebrated nearly as much as the drama and controversy within black culture. Well we're here today to help change that narrative.
Young, black and gifted men and women such as Kendra deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated to show that "Love & Hip Hop" isn't the standard for black people in America. There are a collection of thriving young voices waiting to be heard and it's the responsibility of the older generations to help bring these young men and women to the forefront.
Having just completed her 4th year at Spelman College, Kendra was set to graduate with the class of 2020 in May, 2020, but due to the current global pandemic in COVID-19, the ceremony was postponed until December 2020. Meanwhile, she will be moving on to grad school, on her way to pursuing a Ph. D in "African American Studies."
Daughter of a pastor and a hard working mother with a degree herself, Kendra is determined to: excel, both academically and professionally, but most importantly, help the very community she comes from.
This will be an epic discussion with one of the finest young ladies the black community has to offer, so trust when we say "You don't wanna miss out on this one!"
