About 4 or 5 years ago My SkillsUsa team along with the team from Schurr High School was coming to San Diego for the State Championships. I had an Idea to have my USA flag be flown over the Old Town State Park in San Diego California. For those who do not know the flag story let me give a brief background. Since the year 2000 when I started to prepare from the US Navy (2001) I started sending US flags literally all over the world  to past duty stations, Military posts, historic sites, Places of Interest, etc. All of this was done by email, Facebook, phone call or letter. I can only recall maybe a FEW places of having to pay for the privilege to have my flag flown somewhere. I have also lost 2 flags that are now MIA and presumed Lost Forever.

This is a story of the ONE TIME someone said NO!
