(PT 2) Praying In Jesus Name

Dr. Evans, of Oakcliff Bible Fellowship,  points out in his sermon that God may have decided something to occur in our lives in one year and we may be on year 25 because we have delayed the preparation, He has delayed the answer to the prayer in lieu of our preparation. In God’s kingdom preparation is an absolutely necessary part of ministry.

• Abraham: seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 100 yrs old when Isaac was born. 25 yrs. of faith walking
• Moses: Deuteronomy 34:7 says that Moses was 120 years old when he died, after having spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness. This means he was 80 years old when he led the Israelites out of Egypt.
• David: When David was a teenager, he was anointed as the next king of Israel. It was nearly 15 years between the time that he was anointed king and actually became king.
• Jesus: Jesus spent 40 days fasting in the wilderness being tempted by the devil
