Which U.S. Cities Could Elect An African American Mayor?

The word "minority" is deceptive. In cities where the majority population is African American, some news commentator will describe it as "70 percent minority." Minority is not a racial designation. If a group is numerically the majority, it doesn't matter what ethnicity the group is, they are the majority! This past weekend, political organizers gathered in St.Louis to examine the numbers. What cities have African American mayors? What states have populations that could form coaltions and elect African American governors? Today we'll examine the numbers and have a discussion with some of those preparing themselves to enter the 2015races.
