Police shootings of unarmed citizens have often been the catalyst for major protest demonstrations across the country. People are angry at injustice. Yet, those in many faith communities say the problem is "spiritual" and we need more "prayer" to encourage God's intervention in our affairs. While Dr. Martin Luther King worked with members Christian church to build his mass protest movements, many clergy disagreed with him and considered him a trouble maker, believing that Faith Communities should stay away from politics.
