When will we stop shaming women about their sexuality? Director and Playwright Marvinetta Penn is introducing a bold new play this weekend, playing for two weeks in Chicago, starting Friday January 12, 2018, continuing to Saturday, January 13, Sunday, January 14, Friday January 19, Saturday January 20, and Sunday January 21. It's entitled My Vagina, My Voice, and its mission is to address the female body, the "good girl" legacy, pleasure and power. Now is the time to transform old, archaic attitudes about women and sexuality and reclaim to our right to be complete human beings without fear, shame, judgement and stereotypes. We must give our daughters a more empowering message than what our mothers were taught to give to us.
