Why is there so much sexual perversion in society? Many beliefs about sex are shaped from rigid religious institutions that connect the natural act of procreation to feelings of shame, guilt and repressed fantasies. As a result, children have been more exposed to molestation and sexual assault from adults that are in trusted positions such as teacher, coach and even religious leader. The #metoo movement demonstrates how many people were abused in childhood or adolescence and were too afraid or ashamed to talk about it because the topic of sex has been so surrounded by shame and guilt. How do we create a more wholesome understanding of sexual intimacy in the next generation of children in order to protect them from abuse?
