We continue this week exploring the process of creating a defense fund for the wrongfully convicted so that those who are imprisoned and need to hire legal help to file an appeal can get the financial means to hire good legal help. How do we make sure those who claim innocence truly are innocent and not a danger to society? How do we find attorneys willing to take on such challenging cases? Our guest is Carolyn Hardaway whose brother Maurice Hardaway is seeking a new trial after serving 18 years in prison. Also joining us is investigative journalist Brian Vickers who has been researching cases of wrongful conviction. We're also speaking to Darlene Freeman whose son Andre Freeman has been serving a life sentence for murder since the age of 14 and Philicia Price whose son Gary is serving time in Menard's Correctional center.
