The practice of Forgiveness as taught by ancient and modern day spiritual teachers is often misunderstood. Forgiveness does not mean deciding that the person who committed a hurtful act towards you did nothing wrong. Forgiveness means acceptance that the person acted out of their highest state of conciousness at the time. It means not holding on to anger about the act, because you realize it does not reflect you or your worth, but only on their unevolved state of consciousness. It means letting go of bad feelings that are in fact hurting you because thoughts are energy that affect the very cells of your body. Cancer is the energy of anger and unforgiveness. Today we'll hear from some of our voices of enlightenment on the power of Forgiveness to heal the hurt within you, and to restore inner peace, and sometimes even help the person who committed the wrong.
