Our mothers and fathers take care of us when we are children. They protect us in infancy, and guide us through childhood, nurturing us with love and guidance. Then somewhere during our middle age adult years, the roles are reversed and we become the protectors and nurturers of elderly parents. We’re happy to do it, we want to give back what they have given to us. But what about the absent parent, the abusive parent, the parent who failed to give us love during childhood? If they need us, should we come and care for them? Could we forgive them enough to do it? Our guest today, entertainment consultant Sharella Pruitt, shares her story, a lesson in forgiveness and unconditional love.
