American society is in shambles with crime, violence and poverty across the land, largely because the country was launched with an economic system based on forced free labor from a large group of people, who, in order to continue to produce wealth for a small few, had to be denied education and restricted from movement out of confined areas. Can this broken system be fixed? The national movement for Reparations continues, as many gather to strategize on how to extract the financial resources from the nation and distribute them to the previously deprived. Many believe that America will never heal the wounds of racial injustice without Reparations. Our guest today, is Duke University Professor William Darity, an Economist who will be speaking on “The Ark of Justice” this Saturday at Chicago State University, 95th and King Drive, at a special event on Reparations from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. He is Director of the Samuel Dubois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University.
