The teachers are going on strike in Chicago and similar situations have erupted in other cities. Parents will be forced to restructure their entire day, trying to find a safe place for their children to stay while the parents are at work. Most parents are very displeased with the public school system anyway. Isn’t this the best opportunity for parents to take over the educational system? With a combination of parent cooperation, online instruction and recreational programs at the park districts, we can eliminate much of the distress and anxiety our current rigid, repressive,, prison-like school systems create in our children.
