Youth Rioting and Looting in Chicago? News Reporter Marcus Robinson Tells Why

In a shocking display of fearlessness, hordes of youth stormed into downtown Chicago early Tuesday morning before sunrise and began vandalizing and looting stores up and down what is known as The Magnificent Mile - the high end stores along North Michigan Avenue often patronized by the more affluent. Police who responded to reports of break-ins and widespread looting found themselves completely overwhelmed as youth brazenly broke glass and snatched armfuls of merchandise before escaping on foot or in cars. Many are saying that this looting spree is in retaliation for the police shooting of a 15 year old youth in Englewood.
