Let's Talk Aout It With Myeka. 100 years ago this month, the 19th Amendment giving females the right to vote became law. We are celebrating this historic event and I will be talking to females who have benefitted from this legislation. Join me and share your views, thoughts and visions for the future. We will highlight the life works and time of Amelia Boynton Robinson, the Mother of Alabama Voting Rights. At the 8:00 hour we'll be joined by State Representative Mary Flowers, representing the Illinois 31st District. During her 35 year tenure as a State Legislator since 1985, she has introduced ground breaking legislation. She received the 1993 "Legislator of the Year" award from the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association. She will share her insight on the impact of women using the power of their vote, and the challenges of serving in a male dominated governmental body.
