Parenting is a partnership that begins at conception, but too many men had no clue of their needed supportive role during the pregnancy and childbirth of the mother of their children. In today's MEN ONLY Roundtable Discussion Part 3, hosted by Karriem Hameed, we ask the question "Where Were You During The Pregnancy and Chilbirth of the Mother of Your Children?" Were you joyful at the news of the pregnancy? Or did you urge an abortion? Did you help soothe her nausea during the morning sickness phase? Did you massage her aching back or rub her swollen feet? Were you in the delivery room, did you hold the newborn child? Or were you absent through it all? How do you feel about it now? It's not a question of being married or unmarried fathers.Just being "married" doesn't mean a man has learned how to be supportive of a pregnant wife. How do we teach young men from boyhood how to prepare to be active, involved fathers? Joining us are Rasheed Bilal, of St. Louis, advocate for at risk youth, Gary Hunter,Detroit, Publisher of The Shot News, Warren Houston, Houston, TX, of The Peoples Law Study Group, Kamm Howard Chicago, of NCobra, Kwame Sunhorse, Whollistic Healer and Health and Wellness advocate.
