Collective Mothering: How To Reach Out To The Youth We Fear

First he's a cute little baby; then he's a precocious toddler, expressing his opinion in the stage often called "the terrible two's." Then his a strong willed, actve child and we're calling him "bad." Then he's an adolescent and we're afraid of him and calling the police if he gathers with his friends. Why are we afraid of our children? How do we recreate the culture when all the mothers knew all the children and all the children respected the mothers? Its a relationship between women that needs to be rebuilt if we want to change a culture of violence that has taken over our lives. Today we look at the steps on how to do this.
