Why is women's health often neglected?
Why do people of colour have different health outcomes from those experienced by white people? This is what we will discuss on today's show. Our guest is Ken Atwood, Agency Manager, Diabetic Insurance Solutions and Tribal Wealth United.
* Are Black women who are overweight perceived as "at fault" for their health issues and treated with less sympathy?
* Are Black women perceived as "over emotional" when they describe pain or discomfort and given less pain medication?
* Are Black people perceived as neglectful of their health if they have not have regular doctor visits, rather than struggling with financial limitations? * Are Black people who commit acts of violence more likely to be perceived as "criminal" rather than going through a mental health crisis?
