From Prison Institutions To Peace Education Centers

What is the purpose of sending one who breaks a law to prison? The idea is that you hurt others, so you need to feel pain yourself. In prison you're treated very badly. The punishment of prison should be an incentive not to commit the crime again. The idea of such a punishment should be a deterrent to even committing a crime. We'll, that's the idea behind prisons. Has it worked? Absolutely not. The prison population continues to grow and so does crime. So today we want to introduce a new idea: Turning prisons into Peace Education centers, where those who have hurt others are re-educated in their thinking, given counseling, therapy, detoxification, and released back into society as a completely healed individual with a clean slate.
