Womanhood is being redefined in our modern culture, perhaps by recent portrayals of women warriors like in the movie Black Panther or in the recent film The Woman King starring Viola Davis or even the film G.I. Jane starring Demi Moore. Strength is an admirable trait, no one wants to be seen as weak, vulnerable, a victim. How is this image of aggressive femininity affecting relationships with men? Are men getting a message they are unnecessary in the lives of women, that women ? How do we create partnerships that are not based on the model of "dominant/submissive"? Is it possible?
