Seeing a therapist carried a certain social stigma for a long time in many communities and for some families there is still hesitation to recognize when a child has had a traumatizing experience and needs therapy to heal from the emotional damage. Has your child experienced a hostile divorce between parents? Have there been noticeable changes in your child behavior or moods? You may not be the person your child can talk to openly about their inner emotional pain. Does your child need therapy?
