According to the traditional vows, Marriage is a lifetime commitment. But should it be? Should options be made available based on today's reality? How about a contractual agreement for one year, five years, ten years, twenty years? Words can be changed, such as the previous language for a wife to "love, honor and obey" her husband. Modern partnerships do not require a woman to pledge obedience to her husband. What are better words could be used to insure mutual respect and responsibility? Should vows include specific promises to take care of children? How about defining the responsibilities for generating income and performing household chores? Today we will consider creating marriage vows that actually define the Contractual Agreement.
