The traditional "factory" jobs are disappearing. The old structure of "Employer" and "Employee" is fading away. Much of the manufacturing is done by robots.  Now the people who control the economy are those who create products and those who distribute the product. If you are not in the loop of product creator or product distributor, you are a consumer and not in control of your own financial status. The power to distribute and sell products is what determines how much money you make. Everyone has the power to create an income, based on their capacity to either create a product or sell the product created by someone else. Those who are afraid of artificial intelligence and robots taking all the "jobs" are not understanding the power they have in this new economy.
