Join us on Today, March 27 @ 6pm EST for an exciting conversation with Professor of Political Science at Fordham University, Nicholas Tampio, discussing his new introduction to the seminal text, Democracy and Education written by John Dewey (Columbia University Press 2024). Nicholas researches the history of political thought, contemporary political theory and education policy. He is the author of Teaching Political Theory: A Pluralistic Approach (Edward Elgar Publishing 2022) and has published books on teaching political theory, democracy and national education standards, the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, and the legacy of the Enlightenment in contemporary political theory. Nicholas serves as an editor of the journal Comparative Political Theory and faculty advisor to the Fordham Political Review and the Fordham Pi Sigma Alpha chapter. He often writes for public facing outlets such as the Boston Globe, USA Today, and the Washington Post, and his articles have been translated into Albanian, Chinese, Croatian, Estonian, French, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Portuguese, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
