Join host Tom Riddell  as we welcome author Neil MacMillan to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as Neil discusses what it's like to be a writer and he will also talk to us about his book:Haunted Onondaga County

An open-minded presentation of ghostly tales, but the historical background of these events and places is where the author shines.

Onondaga County sits in the middle of New York State, or as most people refer to it; Central New York. It encompasses the city of Syracuse and is home to a rich and intriguing history, which includes tales of ghosts and other paranormal activity. Residents and historians of the area still recall the story of the blast that killed fifty men and injured over one hundred on July 12, 1918. It was a munitions plant for the war and today Split Rock Quarry is considered to be one of the most haunted in the country. Other haunted places that are covered in this book include Syracuse City Hall, the former Clay Hotel, the old Ancestor's Inn in Liverpool, NY, the Landmark Theatre, Jamesville Penitentiary and a treacherous curvy roadway in rural Onondaga where the "Ghost of Thirteen Curves" is said to reside. Local author and historian Neil K. MacMillan compiles several tales of ghosts and paranormal happenings in Onondaga County and invites us to consider if these tales are true, or just creations in our imaginations.
