Join host Tom Riddell and co-host Teri Brown as they welcome author Christopher Gould to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as Chris discusses what it's like to be a writer and he will also talk to us about his book: The Boys & Girls of America

James Castle, an aspiring writer, with already one acclaimed novel to his name, is appointed writer-in-residence at Edsen College in 1991. This is sort of a dream job for him since he was denied entry into the school in 1985 as a student. James now has the unique opportunity to experience many of the things he missed out on if he had been a student there and he gets the extra special bonus of writing about it.

As James settles into his new role and college life, he meets several new students who quickly become his friends but there's someone else mysteriously lurking around campus and this person is intent on making sure that James doesn't lose sight of his past- a past that is swelling with dark secrets. These hidden segments of his life could reveal the truth about his novel Wits End and bring ahalt to his literary career.

The Boys & Girls of America takes us back to the 1990s and lets us explore what it was like to be a Generation X college student. It's filled with pop culture and the attitudes of that era, a remarkable and enjoyable novel.
