Listen to The African History Network Show, Thursday, November 1st, 8pm-11pm EST as our guests will be Director Janks Morton from www.WhatBlackMenThink.com. He'll talk about the Detroit Premiere of his latest film, "HOODWINKED: We Can No Longer Doubt Our Greatness".

“HOODWINKED: is the much anticipated and long awaited sequel to 2007 Best African American Documentary “WHAT BLACK MEN THINK”. For over four-hundred years, the majority White society has used many tools to reinforce a message that the peoples of African descent are less-than, not-equal-too or not-good enough. In this modern era of information, the media, government and special interests use statistics to further promote the message of Black inferiority.

Are there more African-American in Prison than college? Is the High School Dropout rate for African-American Males really 50%? We'll dispel this and other myths that are distorting our images and helping to destroy our self-esteemed. Did you know that various non-profits, etc. get more funding to attack issues based upon how terrible they can make the problem sound? Have we been "Hoodwinked"?
