Most of you can set goals and achieve them. You usually choose goals that require
the skills and competencies you have acquired over the years. It could be said that
most goals fit your character. When you have the skills and a character that fits the
mission, you are more likely to figure out next steps when you experience failure.
Most of you know various mantras about getting up after falling. From there, you
continue towards the goal. However, how comfortable is it for you to pursue goals
that are far beyond any skills you have developed and goes against your character?
“Adversity introduces a man to himself” – Albert Einstein
In many cases, adversity comes when least expected. Because it is unexpected,
there is no time to develop the skills, competencies, character, knowledge or
anything else required to fulfill the goal. Yet, it still needs to be accomplished. For
most, that is uncomfortable. Also, for most, being uncomfortable is the last place
people want to be. In fact, many pride themselves on chasing peace and tranquility.
At the same time, if you become powerful with being uncomfortable, can you find
peace and tranquility in being uncomfortable?
To take us into a deep dive into the world of being comfortable with being
uncomfortable, we will have an amazing guest. His name is Jason Van Camp. He is
a West Point Graduate. He has served in over 300 combat missions as a US Army
Ranger and Green Beret. Currently he has an MBA and trains people in leadership
through his company Mission Six Zero.
Come learn the secrets of how to operate beyond what you already know how to do.
